September 11: God’s Work. Our Hands. Our service Sunday will deploy us into the community for projects. We join with other ELCA congregations all over the US on this day of service. We have a project for you. Come join us for church at 9:30, go out to work and come back for burger and brats prepared for us by our Property & Grounds guys at 1:00 pm.
September 18: Sunday School begins anew. Children will leave worship at the readings, join their teachers for a lesson, and return to worship with their families later in the service. 9:30 am at worship.
October 5: Wednesday morning Bible Study begins again with a study of Matthew’s Gospel. Grace Imathiu is the author of this six-week study – a pastor in the Methodist Church of Kenya, she is expert a giving us a fresh look at our Biblical tradition. 9:00 am in the Fireside Room downstairs.
October 16: John Smith joins us for a concert in our sanctuary on Sunday afternoon at 4:00 pm. John is a renowned singer and songwriter in the folk/roots tradition. This concert is provided to us by Betty and Jim Roppe, and is part of our Music for Community series. After the concert, our Worship & Music Committee invites us to dinner as a fundraiser for future concerts. Tickets for dinner will be available.
October 17: Young Life dinner at Grizzly Mountain Pavilion at the Fairgrounds. Pastor Barbara is hosting a table at this free dinner. You will hear the story of Young Life and have a chance to contribute to their ministry. If you’d like to attend see Pastor Barbara for an invitation.
October 28: Smorgasbord! The WELCA women welcome you to their annual Scandanavian dinner and quilt raffle to support our Elevation Fund. 6:00 pm in the Fireside Room downstairs.
