Fellowship
This is a crew painting the bathroom in Northridge Park. They are a small contingent of the people who spent a morning as God’s Hands, part of the ELCA’s “God’s Work. Our Hands” celebration across the nation. We don’t have many “work days” like this at Our Savior’s, since so many of our members are deeply involved in civic and volunteer projects through the city, and ususally communitted to those projects to join in church-wide community efforts. So this was a fun day. We dismissed people right from a brief church service and regathered for a barbeque lunch on our patio afterward. That was our Eucharist, our chance to give thanks after giving our hearts and hands to clean up the park, plant at the nursing home, bring cookies to shut ins. They “guys” who usually do all our “fixing” cooked us lunch after we were done “fixing” out there in the neighborhood. Blessings abound.
