We have many ways to connect at Our Savior’s. Our ministry of fellowship includes:
Food and Fellowship
Fellowship = Food for Lutherans. We will be sharing brunch after worship on Sunday mornings in December. It’s a chance to gather for a little more time together before we rush off into the busy world getting ready for the consumer craziness that Christmas brings. We will have some food and some conversation that continues our preparation to celebrate the birth of Jesus and the hope that it brings.
WELCA (Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America) sponsor a Food Fair on Saturday, December 1, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. Traditional foods like lefse and krumkake as well as pies, cookies and other goodies are available for purchase. Homemade soup and bread are on tap for lunch.
Fair Trade Coffee and Chocolate: ”Fair Trade” means that co-operatives of farmers and growers sell their products directly to distributors who send them all over the US. By eliminated the stages of warehousing and distribution in the countries where the products are grown and the countries in which they are sold, more of the profit goes to the growers, making it possible for them to provide electricity, sanitation, and schools for themselves and their children. These products will be available at the Food Fair in December and throughout the year.
